Kellie Martin, the American actress and filmmaker popularly known for her roles as Christy Huddleston on the period drama "Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the show about family Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Her other roles of note include the title role of the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin started her acting career when she was seven. Her aunt, who served as the nanny of Michael Landon's children was a big help in landing her a small role on the 1982 TV series Father Murphy. After graduating of Yale University, she took acting more seriously and landed substantial roles, both on the smaller and large screen. Martin has a background as an actress in addition to a gifted dancer and photographer, has been in the industry for more than twenty years. Her sister who passed away of Lupus aged 19 led her to becoming the Lupus national spokesperson.
