Sadie Amara Calvano hails from America and is known for her role as actress Violet Plunkett, in CBS' sitcom Mom. Calvano was born in California and first became interested in gymnastics. Later, she decided to follow a career of acting. In 2010, she made her debut on screen with an episode of the CBS series "NCIS.' The biographical crime thriller movie J Edgar was her big screen debut a year after. She was one of the most talented young actors to be seen over the next few years. She was nominated in the year 2011 for the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Performance for Young Actresses between 11 and 15 for her work on NCIS. In 2013, her performance as a special guest in Disney XD's comedy 'Kickin It' was nominated once more for an award called a Young Artist Award. Calvano appeared in a number series of the show "Mom" during its fourth season. She was a main role in the initial three seasons of the series. The year 2015 was the year she was awarded the Gracie Allen Award of Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star due to her role in Mom.
